Welcome to my Landscape Galleries. Most of the photographs here are relatively recent, and mostly in colour. Some images are shot in InfraRed, which I developed an interest in many years ago which it was much more difficult to work in and involved special film, filters, and exposure factors.
Almost all of my recent work is shot in panoramic configuration, which means that each finished photograph is comprised of many individual images, sometimes several dozen, which are carefully joined together in order to produce a single image accurately representing my response to the subject.
I use the term "panoramic configuration" because many of my photographs do not conform to a panoramic format, ie long and narrow. Many do of course but sometimes I like to get as close as possible to my subject - an individual tree for example - and as I do not possess an interchangeable lens camera or a wide angle lens, I enjoy the challenge of employing the same panoramic technique as I would for a a more "traditional" landscape picture.
I have also found the distortions produced using the technique more satisfying to me than those produced by a wide angle lens.
My most used cameras are a pair of obsolete 12.1 Megapixel Mk 1 Canon G9's.
I hope you enjoy looking through the finished results.
